Ok so there s solar panels now awsome. And those doors take way to long to open and close anyway so i really dont see how to use the space scanner to protect the solar panels at all. It relies on the fact that shine bugs have a high reproduction rate that their light can power a solar panel and the fact that wild critters will not believe they are in a confined space even if they are confined with a liquid airlock to a 1x1 tile as liquid airlocks do not register as walls of a room. Solar panel is a building that can convert light into power.

And i cant figure out how to make the space scanner open and close those bunker doors. Since a 7 tiles exposed solar panel maxes out early minimizing this will always increase the energy per linear tile per day. How do you protect them. Shine bugs give off light solar panels turn light into power.

I ve tried useing bunker doors above them but even while they are open they dont let light through. 1 is the minimum needed in any configuration and it is also the maximum needed when height is no constraint.
